Iconic Twin Islands & SandbarWorld-Famous Twin Islands Connected by Natural Sandbar in Diglipur
Ross & Smith Islands are internationally famous twin islands in North Andaman connected by a natural 500-meter white silica sandbar. During low tide, the sandbar emerges completely above the water, creating a natural walking bridge between the two tropical islands. During high tide, the sandbar submerges slightly under shallow crystal-clear water, dividing the ocean into two breathtaking turquoise lagoons. Ross Island is covered in dense virgin rainforest with nature trails and sun-loungers, while Smith Island features serene eco-huts, marine life, and shallow swimming waters. Speedboat transfers operate from Aerial Bay Jetty in Diglipur.
